“Kinki Spiritual Affairs Bureau” is a\u00a0Japanese-style horror TPS game where you can fight back against the spirits.
Developed by indie game developer “Noto Muteki,” the Steam version was released in October 2024. The game’s unique concept of being a “horror game where you can fight back against unreasonable spirits that are immune to bullets and fists,” typical in Japanese horror, has captivated many players.
Now, in order to make “Kinki Spiritual Affairs Bureau” available to as many people as possible, AMATA Games has taken charge of porting and distributing the game to the PlayStation\u21225 & Xbox Series X|S, and today, the game is available for download on the PlayStation\u2122Store and Microsoft Store.<\/p>\n

What is “Kinki Spiritual Affairs Bureau”?<\/strong><\/span>
This game is not a classic Japanese horror game where you can’t fight back against the spirits. In Kinki Spiritual Affairs Bureau, you’re just as much of a threat as the spirits themselves!<\/p>\n

Story<\/strong><\/span>
The story takes place in Japan, where exorcisms are carried out by government agents. The protagonist is Mizuki Shiraishi, who is an exorcist from the Kinki Spiritual Affairs Bureau. Mizuki visits Saiga Village in Nara to investigate a mystery in which all trances of the village have been wiped off the internet. Upon her arrival, she discovers all villagers have gone missing and the village is infested with a disproportionate number of unlawful spirits.
Electricity, communications, and the internet in the village have been all cut-off, and Shiraishi also finds out that someone is pulling the strings behind the incident.<\/p>\n

Shiraishi pursues the mystery with radio assistance from her boss Kohinata and her junior co-worker Maruoka.<\/p>\n

Gameplay mechanics<\/strong><\/span>
– The main gameplay consists of unarmed combat, gun shooting, and stealth action.
– There are a total of 10 stages to clear.
– The game includes plenty of story-driven cutscenes.
– Four difficulty settings are available, allowing players from beginners to advanced to enjoy the game repeatedly.
– The button configuration for game controllers can be freely changed, enabling personalized play.
– Graphic settings include a “recommended setting” suitable for your hardware, and you can customize them as you like.<\/p>\n
